Company

Matau is a word from the Māori language, the indigenous people of New Zealand.
The full term Hei-Matau symbolizes prosperity, safety at sea, and good fortune from both the sea and the land.
It also sounds similar to the Japanese phrase “Mata Aō” meaning “See you again,” which inspired our company name.

We are actively engaged in social welfare projects.
Using dormant deposits, we have launched a shared housing project for single mothers, renovating traditional Japanese houses over 50 years old.

This initiative is a joint effort between the Japan Association for the Revitalization of Old Houses and the National Organization for Single-Parent Housing Support, and has been selected as one of only five implementing groups nationwide.

Aiming for a sustainable society, we strive to reduce poverty disparity and create a community where women and children can live safely and comfortably.
Through our activities, we seek to make the world a more fulfilling and compassionate place for everyone.
